i had seizures for 25 1/2 years. the combo that worked the best for me, though did not stop the seizures, was keppra, lamictal, & neurontin. i was on that for a few years before my brain surgery. in may of 05, a neurosurgeon did all kinds of tests & then went in to my head & took out 3.3 centimeters of my brain. he took out the part with all the scar tissue & other medical terms. i have not had a seizure in almost three years now. i'd check into the surgery. it is relatively painless. when u first wake up, it is very painful, but ur face is all swollen & everything. within a day, you're feeling ok & they had me on morphine & lortab for the first few days. i was only in the hospital for 3 days. i know how u feel & i'm sorry this is happening to you. the temporal lobectomy is the best thing that ever happened to me!!!!!!!!!!
